About FIVE GRAINS NOODLE HOUSE(五谷鱼粉)

FIVE GRAINS NOODLE HOUSE(五谷鱼粉) is a chinese restaurant in Dayton, Ohio. It is listed at 1465 E Dorothy Ln, Dayton, OH 45429, which places it among the local businesses of Dayton that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (937) 294-7111. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is fivegrainsnoodlehouse.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 193 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Dayton and suggests consistent service.

Come hungry because portions are huge. Small place but great food. The pumpkin cake is like mochi on the inside and very soft and spongy. It’s not very crunchy and had the right about of crisp to it. The mala soup was the size of my face and wasn’t too spicy. The beef was tender and not overcooked - it was cooked just right. Noodles tasted fresh.

I wanted to try something new today, and i found this place (googled best Chinese food near me). I had the Mala sliced beef noodles. It was spicy but not deadly. Flavors were intense (in a very good way) with spices I've never tasted. I highly recommend this place for a taste of REAL Chinese cuisine. This place is legit.

Pretty good. Makes my wife happy. Very clean dining environment. Surprised not many people here today on a Saturday. If their receipt is accurate they only had 9 people come eat by 4:30pm~. We were here for 30 minutes and saw no one. Definitely comfortable if you're also don't like being around a lot of people.

My husband and I tried the Mala beef noodle and the fish filled noodle with chicken broth. They are both delicious especially the broth tastes really good. The noodle is mixed which is quite interesting. The fish fillet is very soft and tender. But I am wondering if the local American like the special taste of the fish. All in all, they served decent delicious Chinese style noodle. If you are interested in it, it is worth a visit. Clean and neat space.

Found this place by Google search for Asian restaurants in the kettering area. The location is small, with very welcoming staff. They did not speak the best English and at one point used the phone to translate. A lau came in later that spoke fine, so I think that's just a matter of timing. I did however alleviate the effort to ensure we got what the order correct. Now as far as the food.... everyone was impressed with their food. One kid got a spicy noodle, one noodles and chicken, one noodles with beef, and one vegetarian. They all said the noodles were amazing and the flavor was just right. Not being a huge fan of noodles, I went with my trusted fried rice. It was cooked perfectly, with my only complaint being that they didn't have heat levels. I like my fried rice to have a little kick, but it was cooked so well, I won't even let that be an issue. We will be back to this place as it is now on our list of go-to spots.
